Adèle Renault - Alex Young Expo at Soundstation, Liège - the pics, the stories
It’s Fridaynight and we’re back. Back from the Southern part of the country and damn if that wasn’t nice. Of course the reason for the trip was the Adèle Renault/Alex Young expo at Soundstation, Liège.
If you’d happen to be in the neighbourhood, or if you’re into a nice citytrip to Liège, you’ve got to go check out the expo folks. Really. No shit.
But I’m no monster And I know there’s
some people who simply won’t get there. So I’ve uploaded some pictures. Not the entire expo - that would be too much of a spoiler now woudln’t it? Just a neat little selection of personal favorites.
After the vernissage the man Billy Palmier and I were invited to stay in town for the night. An offer we couldn’t refuse and damn if we didn’t get a warm Liège welcome!
I’m digging Liège. It has this laid-back vibe and a wild fusion of the old and the new, architecturally speaking. The fact that the part of the city where we were staying was the isle of Liège obviously pushed the exoticness up another notch. Which makes it all the more brilliant!
An honourable mention to the killer stairsteps of the city too. Some serious mountainclimbing is going on over there!
Early in the morning we visited the local flea market, where I did the most absurd recorddeal thusfar. Seven records for the price of two meal cheques. Now ain’t that something? It was a lucky shot but the man accepted my offer and back home I discovered I had actually bought/traded me a killer Errol Dunkley and some wicked Erotic Drum Band madness. Which was nice.
Huge shout-out to the welcoming party in Liège, all considered part of the extended on-point family now!
