Perhaps the ultimate promostunt for his highly anticipated upcoming album, but it sure doesn’t look like it. Mos Def was arrested for performing outside of the MTV Music Video Awards.

“According to authorities, the rapper pulled up in front of the venue in a flatbed truck at around 10 p.m. for an impromptu show for the people gathered outside.” Mos is now charged with disorderly conduct. He performed the song “Katrina Clap”.

Pulling up in a truck-with-a-stage at the MTV Awards? Sounds like somebody was doing a P Diddy, right?
Still, the utmost respect to Mos, now go back to the lab and make the album worth listening to, not like last one, please.
