Michel Gondry - Pecan Pie (ft. Jim Carrey, Eric & Ramzy)

Filed under: the latest, Video - =lloyd= @ 11:54 am

An oldy and a shorty by French filmmaker extraordinaire: Michel Gondry. The man’s a genius for translating his hcild memories and spaced out dreams to the audience. Scroll down for a short selection of his works.
But first, sit down for a minute and a half of floating around in the brain of Michel. Made me wonder what inspiration is all about, really.

Interview with Michel Gondry

The White Stripes - Fell In Love With A Girl (Classic!)
Air France - Commercial (Must-see!)
Daft Punk - Around The World (Killer choreography)
The Chemical Brothers - Let Forever Be (Looping madness!)
Kylie Minogue - Come Into My World (”I’ll have that one”)

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind Selected Parts
Dave Chappell presents: Block Party

And there’s lots and lots more, check out the dvd with a lot of his work, ànd the must-see autobiographical documentary “I’ve been 12 forever”. (Don’t act like you can’t find it, it’s in every Belgian library’s collection, probably abroad as well.)

In 2006 Gondry will bring us “La Science Des Rêves” aka “The Science Of Sleep“. I’ll keep you posted on that last one, since press screening is only next week. Looking forward to that, stakes are high!
